Thinking about moving to Pinehurst? As a parent, I understand and appreciate the importance of a great school system. Check out the below information for schools in the Moore County area. Should you have questions, please feel free to contact me!

Did you know? Moore County Schools offers a comprehensive curriculum K-12 that includes workforce development, programs for special needs and gifted students and arts education. All three high schools offer a variety of Advanced Placement course, as well as other academically challenging opportunities for all students.

The district's students have consistently met or exceeded growth expectations in the state's "ABCs" accountability program. In addition, the district's 2011 SAT average of 1025 exceeded the national average by 14 points and the state average by 24 points.

Moore County, North Carolina, is economically diverse and noted for its high quality of life. Although agriculture has always played an important part in the county's economics, today's major industries include tourism, health care and education.

For reference, I included below a summary of the many amazing schools in the Moore County Area - as well as links to each school.

Sandhills Community College
Both curriculum (college credit) and continuing education (non-credit) classes and programs are offered for individuals with varied educational needs and backgrounds using both traditional (classroom) settings and non-traditional instructional methods. Courses are taught day and evening throughout the year both on and off the main campus in Pinehurst, N.C.

Sandhills Community College tries to accommodate students who have conventional class meeting time needs and those not so typical. They schedule classes during the day, evenings and even on weekends to help everyone achieve their educational goals. They even have classes you don’t need to come to the campus to take (Distance Learning).
